In virtually no other country does vocational education and training (VET) have such a strong position at upper secondary level as inSwitzerland. The majority of Swiss VET students spend most of their time in companies, acquiring skills relevant to the needs of the labourmarket. This book provides an overview of the main systemic elements of the Swiss model, including the role played by the private sector,governance and financing. In addition, it provides insights into the pedagogical approaches used in Swiss VET.
